IGA 30 Days of Dairy

Website Design and Code + Logo

  • COMPANY / IGA, Inc.
  • ROLE / Design & Development; Logo Creation
  • PLATFORM / Web
  • PROGRAMS / HTML, CSS, Photoshop, Illustrator

IGA, Inc. celebrates June Dairy Month with its customers using a trivia game called 30 Days of Dairy. Contestants enter the sweepstakes for a chance to win free dairy products.

Tasked with the responsibility of updating the 30 questions in last years' template, I saw a greater need to improve the UX. Check out the old design here.

This new page was built mobile-first with the user in mind. The content was carried over but is more concise. The design was modernized with flat buttons, a cover image promoting the original logo and text, and clearly defined headers for each section of the single page site. Flexbox worked nicely for the partner organization section.

eCommerce Website Design and Code

  • COMPANY / Colorful Kitchen
  • ROLE / Design & Development
  • PLATFORM / Web
  • PROGRAMS / HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, jQuery, Photoshop

My goal with Colorful Kitchen was making the products the focal point. The design is simple, yet the navigation and search are intuitive and easy.

I built the SQL database and used PHP to populate the search results and product details pages. A working cart totals each selection and quantity.

  • ROLE / Design & Development
  • PLATFORM / Web
  • PROGRAMS / HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, jQuery, Javascript, Photoshop

The Lincoln Park Zoo App was inspired by their current site and zoo. The goal was to provide a fun, interactive and educational site for kids.

I worked with another person on this project but was responsible for many of the start files (flowcharts, wireframes, sketches). I designed the animals section and made calls to the mySQL database in order to populate dynamically using PHP.

A local photographer wanted a video to feature on her website that would be both informational for brides and entertaining to watch. She provided an initial script that I used to create an engaging video.

The video was made using original vector icons and a combination of carefully placed transitions.
